PROJECT DETAILS
The new Seventh Day Adventist Church in Abbotsford is a study in restraint and precision. Designed by Site Lines Architecture with structural design by StructureCraft, the space blends mass timber, daylight, and intentional lighting to create an environment that simply feels right.
Axis Lighting's Sculpt linear pendants were used throughout the main spaces, providing a uniform, visually quiet layer of illumination that lets the mass timber and natural wood take centre stage. The wall-wash and regressed lens options ensured hallways read evenly, while feature walls and elevator cores were gently highlighted without introducing unnecessary fixtures.
In the co-working space, Axis Lighting's Beam 2Beam 2 was used to bring focused, balanced illumination to an area designed for productivity. Its direct/indirect distribution creates a comfortable, glare-free environment ideal for collaborative and individual work alike, while its clean profile keeps the space feeling open and uncluttered.
Together, Sculpt and Beam deliver a cohesive lighting experience throughout the building — calm, considered, and always in service of the architecture.
