PROJECT DETAILS

The Bibliothèque L'Octogone reimagines the public library as an open, welcoming destination for learning, creativity, and community. Set within a carefully designed architectural landscape, the project extends its experience beyond the building through thoughtfully illuminated exterior spaces.

Exterior lighting is defined by the Lumenicon family fixtures - Lumenicon Bollard, Lumenicon Column, Lumenicon Area Medium - that structure and enhance the surrounding environment.


The design:

- Provides safe, consistent illumination for pathways and public zones
- Reinforces site circulation and spatial clarity
- Complements the architectural presence without overpowering it

Balanced light levels and controlled distribution ensure visual comfort while maintaining a welcoming nighttime atmosphere. The exterior environment becomes an extension of the library itself—accessible, safe, and engaging after dark.

This approach demonstrates how well-designed site lighting can elevate a civic project, strengthening both usability and identity.
