Hollowcore Element, Luminis
When Light is the Focal Point, Space Becomes Composed
Luminis, an established innovator and manufacturer of specification-grade interior and exterior lighting solutions, today announced the introduction of its Hollowcore Element luminaire family. Designed for indoor and outdoor applications, Hollowcore Element brings focus to architectural spaces through a distinctive open-core form and controlled illumination.
The family is defined by a restrained architectural presence. Its clean circular form is built around a luminous ring and distinctive interior core, creating a balanced expression that feels visually light while maintaining a strong presence within the space.
Hollowcore Element incorporates a carefully engineered optical system designed to deliver even, controlled illumination. A semi-opaque, double-layer lens creates a soft, wide distribution, while the lens geometry helps maintain a clear and composed luminous appearance across the full volume of the luminaire.
To support different design intents, Hollowcore Element is offered in two optical configurations. An open distribution is designed to establish a broader ambient presence, while a metal shade configuration directs illumination downward with greater control and precision.
Hollowcore Element is offered in multiple mounting types, including stem, surface, cable, and Ø4” post top/pole configurations. Together, they allow a consistent architectural expression to extend from interior to exterior applications.
The metal shade post top is available with an optional cover disc to help limit uplight and reduce skyglow.
Hollowcore Element is offered in two sizes, Ø19” and Ø30”, with output scaling up to 9,853 lumens in the Ø19 family and up to 26,000 lumens in the Ø30 family, depending on configuration. The family features 90 CRI light quality, multiple CCT options, and project-ready control options to support a wide range of architectural applications.
Hollowcore Element is designed to bring focus back to architectural lighting—helping spaces read more clearly, reinforcing architectural intent, and supporting a more composed visual experience.
